Construction Director – Office

For our client, developer of office properties, we are currently looking for a person for the Construction Director position to be responsible for major projects of existing and newly built buildings in Poland.

The person on this position will be responsible for managing a construction engineer and other experts’ team in the delivery of all construction projects being run in Poland.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Full responsibility for the project management of the constructions in Poland.
• Construction project management and fit outs responsibility from the beginning of the investment process up to its final stages, takeovers.
• Managing the design phase, the creation of a feasibility study, tendering processes, managing the progress and quality control on sites.
• Strict and daily cooperation with all company’s departments, including assertive negotiations and seeking for solutions to satisfy all interests.
• Daily communication and periodic meetings with sales, leasing, project management, finance, design, legal and other departments.
• Knowledge of cost estimation, creating budgets, schedules.
• Coordinating team of external PMs, contractors, sub-contractors.
• Providing expertise in the construction process, supervision plan and construction site.
• Reporting to CEO and stakeholders.
• Timely delivery of reports about the state of work.

To be successful in this role you will need: 

• Higher education – civil engineering.
• At least 8 years of experience in office or mixed-use properties construction and finishing works.
• Experience in technical management, budgeting & cost control – fluent knowledge of construction costs, prices, budgets, timelines, vale engineering and procurement areas.
• Ability to see whole project from different perspectives.
• Strong analytical, communication and negotiation skills.
• Ease in decision making, superb time management, stress resistance.
• MS Office package literacy and very good English are a must.
